ImageFusionImaging freedom for flexible planningIn response to the clinician's need for comprehensive image analysis, Radionics has developed patented ImageFusion software. ImageFusion provides the ability to fuse multiple image sets in seconds, and to use this valuable information for treatment planning and follow-up. ImageFusion aligns images volumetrically, allowing clinicians to use the complementary features of different scan types. Radionics supports a wide range of image types so clinicians can capitalize on the unique strengths of most scan types. Fusing CT and MR image sets combines the advantage of CT spatial accuracy with the superior tissue definition of MR. In this way, ImageFusion improves the accuracy of using certain types of scans for stereotaxy. Employing a unique algorithm that allows for full, voxel to voxel intensity match, ImageFusion automatically correlates thousands of points from two image sets, providing true volumetric fusion of anatomical data sets. ImageFusion allows users the flexibility to use non-localized scans, such as MR, for future surgery and evaluation. This means the freedom to scan prior to the day of a procedure, reducing scheduling difficulties. The ability to align pre- and post-operative scanned images with ImageFusion improves follow-up evaluation.
Advantages
ImageFusion extends the ability of its users to plan and conduct effective, successful procedures without compromising time and simplicity. By giving the clinician the flexibility of using any image set, ImageFusion is a key component of any Radionics software-based product. CAUTION: Federal (USA) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
