High Definition Radiation Therapy (HDRT)

Radionics HDRT utilizes new LINAC-based CT imaging to meet the challenges of extracranial stereotaxy including patient repositioning and internal anatomical shifts.

High Resolution IMRT Image Guided Accuracy Stereotactic Precision
High Resolution IMRT: XKnife IMRT utilizes high resolution MLC and MMLC technology to deliver optimal dose coverage for all targets. Image Guided Accuracy: Radionics stereotactic ImageFusion used together with LINAC-based CT guidance yields daily target shifts. Stereotactic Precison: High precision immobilization, localization, and repositioning distinguishes Radionics HDRT from conventional IGRT.

Without HDRT, internal anatomy can shift up to 5 mm, even with rigid immobilization.  In this case the spinal cord would receive significant dose.
With HDRT, daily isocenter shifts can be automatically calculated and applied to ensure target coverage and structure sparing.

Dose volume histograms compare the uncorrected pre-plan with the HDRT plan.
