StereoPlan™

Precise three-dimensional planning for stereotactic surgery... StereoPlan™.

Stereotactic surgery requires the utmost precision. In response to this need, Radionics offers StereoPlan™, a three-dimensional software package for planning stereotactic procedures.

Streamlining Surgery

Planning for stereotactic surgery with StereoPlan™ is straightforward. StereoPlan™ localizes the entire image volume, giving the surgeon maximum information from the data. The system supports multiple image sets simultaneously. Multiplanar reformatted data and three-dimensional views provide superior visualization and planning capabilities. The screen layout is configured to the surgeon's preferences. Targeting and trajectory planning are quickly achieved through a simple interface. Multiple measurement lines allow streamlined measuring of anatomical landmarks, especially useful for functional procedures. Functional neurosurgery is further supported through reformatting along intracomissural planes for correlating of data acquired in such planes.

Patient data can be correlated with the Schaltenbrand-Wahren Atlas* in the AtlasPlan™ module for targeting of functional landmarks. Once the plan is completed, StereoPlan™ allows the clinician the ability to track the entire trajectory and take a virtual path through the anatomy and view all structures passed through at any given depth.

Beyond pre-operative planning, the software's simplicity allows for intraoperative analysis and plan adjustment. Further, ImageFusion™ allows non-stereotactic post-operative scans to be calibrated into stereotactic alignment with the operative data. Actual trajectories and electrode placements can then be compared with the original surgical plan and lesion volumes can be calculated and compared with clinical outcome.
