OmniSight Image Guided Surgery System Modules
|
Included with
the OmniSight™ EXcel System
NeuroSight™ Cranial Module
The NeuroSight™ module offers a comprehensive platform
for standard neurosurgical image-guided cranial procedures. Use
NeuroSight™ to plan the optimal surgical path and greatly
reduce the incision size. Combined with unique features such as
touch-free navigation and the virtual trajectory planning tool,
NeuroSight™ becomes a very powerful tool for cranial applications.
-
Perform frameless biopsies with the virtual trajectory planning
tool
-
Generate cortical and vascular segmentation for trajectory
planning with the addition of ImageFusion™ software
-
Contour tumors for increased visualization in the three-dimensional
view

Maximize Your
OmniSight™ EXcel System
SpinalSight™ Spinal Module
The SpinalSight™ module provides complete three-dimensional
visualization for standard image-guided spine procedures. This module
allows for critical bone localization and trajectory information
in spinal applications. The surgeon can plan trajectories by using
“measure angle” and “measure distance” functions
for optimal entry points.
-
Frees the surgical field of wires with the wireless Dynamic
Reference Frame (DRF), which can be positioned out of the wound
using a special distraction pin attachment
-
Performs spinal registration of three-dimensional scans using
enhanced surface matching
-
Control distance and angle measurement features with touch-free
navigation during surgery to enhance intraoperative surgical
planning

MicroSight™ Microscope Module
In
a continued effort to optimize convenience and versatility for the
surgeon, Radionics has developed the MicroSight™ microscope
module for tracking surgical microscopes. Now the surgeon is able
to combine the microscope's precision optics with the unequaled
localization of image guidance.
For surgical microscopes, the OmniSight™ EXcel system tracks variable
focus digital microscopes without recalibration. This information
is correlated to the patient scan images and updated interactively
during surgery.
As with all other OmniSight™ EXcel applications, the microscope
interface is modular and can be added to an existing system and
selected for use any time. |
| |
| Advantages
The microscope module offers the surgeon numerous benefits, in addition
to the other features of the OmniSight™ EXcel system:
-
Adapts to most major model surgical microscopes, including
Zeiss, Leica and Moller, for optimal functionality -
Quick and easy three-step microscope calibration with the MicroCal™
calibration tool
-
Tracks the focal point, as well as the focal trajectory
|

MicroCal™ Microscope Calibrator |
-
Compact, lightweight tracking arrays minimize effect on microscope
balance
-
Optionally displays the microscope video image on the OmniSight™ EXcel
monitor
-
Easy-to-use, yet powerful, enhanced software interface
-
Controlled using the unique touch-free navigation system
-
Switch seamlessly between tracking probes and the microscope
at any time during surgery
-
Virtual image overlay allows surgeon to simultaneously visualize
the surgical field and the virtual location of the lesion, eliminating
the need to shift focus from the field to the monitor during
microdissection

Calyx™
2 Fluoroscopic Tracking Module
The
Calyx™ 2 fluoroscopic tracking module provides a cost-effective
fluoroscopic navigation solution for the hospital and the OR staff.
By displaying the trajectory of the surgeon's instruments in real-time
on multiple fluoroscopic views, Calyx™ 2 allows for more informative
tracking, with reduced radiation exposure.
Advantages
-
Automatic Registration — Quickly and accurately
matches the instrumentation to the patient's position and orientation
without the need for fiducials
-
X-Ray Reduction — Allows the surgeon to
take initial fluoroscopic shots and track instrumentation in
real-time, reducing radiation to patient and OR staff
-
Fluoroscopic Tracking — The
surgeon can position the fluoroscope in its desired orientation
without triggering X-rays
-
Multiple Instrument Tracking — Track and
recognize up to four custom instruments using our patented VersaTool™
calibration feature
-
Universal Adaption — With our adjustable
non-invasive Image Intensifer Clamp, the surgeon is not limited
to using only one fluoroscope in the OR
-
Reduced Cost Image Guidance — Allows the
surgeon to utilize the benefits of image guidance without having
to obtain an extra CT scan
-
Intra-Operative Planning — Provides the
surgeon the ability to plan trajectories, determine angles,
and acquire measurements in real-time, from the sterile field
-
Surgeon Controlled — With touch-free navigation,
the surgeon is able to completely run the system in the sterile
field without needing an operator at the workstation

SinuSight™
ENT Module
The SinuSight™ module provides a complete solution for image-guided
sinus surgery cases. This module expands visualization and positional
information as the surgeon nears the skull base and other critical
anatomy in the sinuses.
-
Use the unique VersaTool™ instrument calibrator to calibrate
and track virtually any custom instrument
-
Perform quick and accurate registration using enhanced surface
matching
-
Used for both ENT applications and non-invasive patient tracking
– compensates for patient movement
